STEPHEN HOLMAN
STEPHEN HOLMAN is an acclaimed, Anglo-American artist whose work in fine art, illustration, and children's television has been exhibited and screened throughout the world. His current work focuses mainly on paintings of the underwater world. Inspired by 20 years of experience as a Californian scuba diver, his aquatic artworks attempt to capture not only the visual beauty of oceanic lifeforms and underwater landscapes, but also scuba diving culture, and the experience of a human being submerged in the powerful forces of the ocean.
Throughout the 90s and 00s, Holman created, directed, wrote and designed stop-motion and mixed-media animated children's tv series and specials for Nickelodeon (LIFE WITH LOOPY/KABLAM!), Warner Bros (PHANTOM INVESTIGATORS) and Disney (THE BITE-SIZED ADVENTURES OF SAM SANDWICH). He also worked as an artist on PEE WEE'S PLAYHOUSE in the late 80s.
